Large Antique 1940s Chiltern Hugmee Bear “Tilly” – 22 inches

Tilly is an absolutely gorgeous large antique “Flat Foot” Chiltern Hugmee bear (no label), a superb big cuddly 22 inches in height of her!!. She dates to the 1940s and has obviously been well treasured all these years to have remained in such lovely condition today. Tilly has original glass eyes, excellent nose/mouth stitching retained and the most beautiful thick coverage of rich golden mohair. Her velveteen pads are all original with the typical 1940s “flat” carded feet to help her stand. All her joints are good and strong, her stuffing remains beautifully firm and her tummy squeaker will even give a little squeak for you too!!. Tilly displays perfectly in her old pearl style necklace which belonged to Auntie of original owner.
