Very interesting unusual antique teddy bear from a British Company, dating from 1930s He ismade of golden mohair, isstuffed with wood-wool throughout his body and head and isfully jointed.He has got original right eye of clear and black glass with remains of reddish brown painted back, left eye is a little bit later replacement. He hasoriginal black vertically stitched shield shaped nose. Hismouth stitching is missing, he has apronounced muzzle. Theoriginal cloth pads are in good condition with some soiling, but generally still sound with no tears and there are theremains of the original five claws stitching to each limb. He haspossibly got an inoperative tilt growler in his tummy. He wears hand embroidered vintage waistcoat.Approx. 23 1/2″ tall.
