Unusual blue art silk plush teddy bear by Chad Valley.This chubby blue plush bear was made circa 1930’s, stands at 17″ tall and is five ways jointed and stuffed with kapok with wood wool in his muzzle. He has a very good covering of his unusual blue art silk plush which is clean but has flattened a little and although he has faded a bit from the original bright torquoise blue he still has a good overall blue colour. He has very slight thinning and some tiny bare spots but he has still retained a good 98% coverage overall. His felt paw pads are original with some small darned repairs but his carded feet pads have been recovered with a similar felt. His nose and mouth stitching is redone His brown and black glass eyes are intact and in very good condition and he has a tilt growler in his tummy which no longer works.He no longer has any labels. He is a rare bear in his blue artsilk plush and he has a happy go lucky expression
