Insulation & Condensation Prevention

To prevent condensation buildup, ducting in unheated areas (e.g. lofts) must be insulated with a minimum of 25mm insulation (thermal conductivity of 0.04W/mK or less).

• For warm indoor spaces, intake and exhaust ducting should also be insulated using 25mm rockwool duct wrap with a foil face.
• Foil bubble wrap insulation is no longer compliant with building control regulations.
