Bennachie is a range of hills near Inverurie in Aberdeenshire, its two highest points are Oxen Craig – a Marilyn and Mither Tap. A popular hill amongst locals, it offers stunning views of the surrounding area

This new topographical style collection is adevelopment of the existing Mountain Series and explores the use of colour to create fun and colourful map prints in a poster-style format.

Each piece begins life, with pen and paper! Ordnance survey maps are used to create aerial snap shots of each peak before the linear skeleton of the mountain is hand drawn. Then, from here it’s all digital. After utilising a trusty high res scanner, software is used to colour the contours with a mix complimentary shades from a bespoke colour palette. This part can take time to get just right!

Colours on screen may vary to real life, some of the images shown are photographs and others are digital mock ups. Kym has tried as hard as possible to capture the colours as accurately as possible.

They are printed onto recycled paper made from 100% post consumer waste.

Due to the nature of recycled papers, each batch may vary slightly in colour and you may see little flecks throughout the paper. We like to celebrate these tiny imperfections and see them as little flecks of added character
