A dearly-loved, white mohair sentry Bing bear called Albert, with mega rare metal ID button attached to the back of his right paw c.1920s. Albert is 46 cms (18″) tall and retains his original features. The old boy is woodwool-stuffed and has a large tilt growler no longer working, but his joints are sound. He has lovely back-painted glass eyes and his nose and mouth are embroidered in beige thread, along with his claws. Three of his felt pads are a little worn with repairs, while his right one is near minty.

Typical of a Sentry Bing of this period, Albert’s legs are seamed at the back and his footpads are pointed at the heel so he appears to be standing on tiptoe. Some areas of him are very worn, including his massive long muzzle which has an old patched insert to the top and sides, and is also slightly threadbare. There’s a few holes to his arms and a patched insert to the side of one foot, plus darning to the front of his left ankle. He has some age-staining here and there too, and the back of his head is watermarked and a tad threadbare.

Overall, though, Albert is a sturdy bear and, despite some patchy fur loss, has a very respectable amount especially at the back.
