John W is a good example of a 1925 10″ white sheepskin Farnell bear made especially for a store with the store label Made for John Wanamakers in Philadelphia with his unusual, rare “REDLEAF”label. He has clear glass eyes with black pupils. original 5 claws on pads and paws and is fully jointed. He has a mix of kapok and woodwool stuffing. His growler no longer works. I met an American lady who remembered going to the shop where, she said, there was a working, running train for children
