I love my bears & like to share them with people.
This Stiff bear is named Charlie. He is 1920 or 30s Steiff 50cm beige short pile fragile mohair very large ears, brown glass eyes. I believe his nose was restored, but not sure. Retains his ff button & has a lot of mohair loss. Was appraised by Dick Franz in 2012 he is a Steiff archivist for Steiff USA. This bear is so strange I originally thought he was not a Steiff, but he is. Very rare bear exact year is not known. I purchased him in Long Island in NY with four 1950-60s Steiff bears in 2007. I saved them they all were stored in a trash bag. I love this Charlie bear because he is unique & not typical Steiff bear.
